Local PPC in Auburn: Why More Spend Does Not Equal More Booked Jobs

It is easy to assume paid search should scale like a simple equation. If an Auburn service business spends $2,000 on Google Ads and books ten jobs, increasing the budget to $4,000 should produce something close to twenty.

Sometimes additional budget does produce additional business. But paid search rarely scales that neatly.

The reason is that a Google Ads budget does not purchase jobs. It purchases opportunities to reach people who are searching. Between that search and a booked job are a series of variables: what the person searched for, where they are located, which service they need, whether they click, what they find on the website, whether they call, whether someone answers, whether they are a good prospect, whether they schedule, and whether the business ultimately closes the work.
